- Once, in an outskirt of a country lived a rich farmer. Villagers there bowed before him and respected him as the leader of the community as he was the founder of the village. He had earned all these as every inch of the place was pioneered by him with his bare hands. He owned lands as much as we could calculate on a map. Therefore, his wealth was incompatible.
- As he got married, his wife gave birth to two children who were boys. He was overjoyed to have a bigger family with the birth of his two sons. He even celebrated their birthday with the villagers by having a feast for days. He had never been so happy before.
- His life went on with his two sons. He felt grateful to be able to see them getting bigger day by day and never bothered the fact that he was also getting older each day. He thought that God had gave him the most precious gift of all and there was no reason to beef anymore. They were living together happily.
- As the years went by, his sons had grown up and started leading their own lives. He divided his properties and distributed it to his sons. He thought that his sons were adults and expected them to use the properties given to them wisely. On top of that, he hoped that his sons would inherit his business. However, the younger son began to get restless because he was unhappy with his lot.
- At first, he did not want to argue about the unfairness he faced as he expected more from his father. Nonetheless, nothing changed and he became more and more indignant. Thus, he decided to go to his father and ask for his share of the property.
- The father tried to dissuade his son, but he wouldn't listen to his father whom he regarded as old and ignorant.
- Having no choice when he heard the complaints of his younger son, he gave him a third of his property. Maybe this might satisfy him, he thought. He hopes that his son would not disappoint him as he did that to tell him that he was not trying to be unfair.
- By then, without the father's knowledge, the young man sold his share of the property and left for another country. He thought that by doing so he might find a new start and earn more money to enjoy life without his father's control and restraints.
- As he wished, he led a luxurious life. Above all, he spent a lot of money on gambling. He went casinos where all rich man goes day and night, spending money like throwing rubbish into the dump. He never cared as he still thought that he has a lot of money.
- His debts piled while his money depleted. Yet, he was not aware of himself inching bankruptcy. Soon all his money was gone and he became a pauper. Only then, he regreted all his unappreciative doings, but, it was too late.
