Colours are all around us. In matter of fact, it is visible to all of us no matter where we look. The main purpose for colours are usually only to make an object distinctive but nowadays, creative artists make use of different variants of colours to spice up their drawings or even cultures. Different variants of colours used can also change the tone of the colour which is vital to the detailing of their artwork. The higher amount of detailing of the artwork can give the artwork a story about an experience or about the artist or even a hidden meaning behind the artwork.
There are also many other uses of colours. One of the main uses that we see everyday is in televisions. The three bases of colours, red, blue and yellow, are shone together proportionally to produce the right balance of colours. The amount of light shone is according to the signals received from the satellite. The colours then form a coloured image on the television. When the base colours mix together, they produce secondary colours such as green, orange and so on. Therefore, we should be grateful that there are colours to brighten up our lives.
Other than that, colours can help to stimulate our mood. For instance, the colour red can make us more motivated and more lively whereelse, the colour blue can calm us down and make us relieved. These colours also can also determine our mood. An example being blue which shows that we are under the weather or sick. Other than that, the colour black can show that we are alone or isolated and depressed. Therefore, our lives should have a variety of colours to balance our emotions.
Besides that, colours are also used widely in road signs and also in traffic regarding issues. Striking colours such as red will always stand out to the driver, thus helping to save many lives with just the use of certain colours. Furthermore, the use of the colours red, amber and green in traffic lights are used all around the world. Red, amber and green are the universal signs of stop, slow down and go respectively. Therefore, people who have colour blindness should refrain from driving as they cannot see the colours on the traffic light and are more susceptible to accidents.
In conclusion, colours can open up so many possibilities in our lives. We should be grateful that we have an unimagined amount of colours in our world. Without any variety of colours in our lives, our lives would be very dull and monotone. There also wouldn't be the invention of the coloured television and the coloured computer. Furthermore, artwork in general will all look the same and without any distinctive features. Unlike the modern-day artworks which comes in the abundance of colours, the greyscale artwork will just look unattractive and boring.
